The latest incident happened around 5 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 when Norwalk Police were called to a Bedford Avenue residence because Brandon Wagshol had allegedly pushed an individual inside the residence.

When officers arrived on the scene, there was yelling inside the apartment, Lt. Jared Zwickle of the Norwalk PD said. The officers knocked on the door and Wagshol came to the door and was detained without incident, police said.

Officers located a victim inside who Wagshol had pushed into the wall, causing damage to the wall, Zwickle said.

The victim had a large laceration on the head which was sustained when Wagshol hit the victim with a pipe, according to Zwickle.

Officers recovered a two-foot pipe from the scene which they secured as evidence.

Wagshol was charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief and is being held on a $500,000 bond with a court appearance scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3.

Wagshol was arrested and charged with four counts of illegal possession of large-capacity magazines on Aug. 15 after the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) received a tip that he was attempting to purchase large capacity rifle magazines from out of state.

Wagshol had made a Facebook post that showed his interest in committing a mass shooting, police said.
